Product Description

Make angle measurement more accessible with our Braille Protractor, designed for blind, low vision, and sighted students to use together.

This accessible protractor features a swing-arm design with a six-inch ruler attached to the center pivot of the protractor base. The pointed tip of the ruler aligns precisely with the degree markings around the protractor, making it easier to measure, compare, and identify angles by touch.

The protractor base includes a tactile system of raised lines and dots for measurements from 0 to 180 degrees. Short raised lines mark every 5 degrees, longer lines identify every 10 degrees, and longer lines paired with jumbo raised dots mark every 30 degrees. These distinct tactile landmarks help students quickly orient themselves and locate angle measurements without relying on sight alone.

The attached six-inch ruler is also fully tactile, with raised measurement lines every 1/8 inch. Lines vary in length to make different increments easier to distinguish by touch, while raised-print and Braille numbers mark each full inch.

High-contrast colors make the tool easier to use for students with low vision. The protractor base is white with black lines and dots, while the ruler is black with white measurement lines and numbers.

Durable, practical, and designed with accessibility in mind, our Braille Protractor is a useful tool for geometry lessons, classroom activities, homework, and hands-on math instruction. Proudly made in the USA from durable plastic.
