Remove the recorder from its leather carrying case. Place the unit on a desk in front of you, with the buttons facing up in the bottom-right corner. You'll notice the raised circular speaker grill in the top-right corner, just above the buttons.
On the right side closest to you, you'll find a sliding on-off switch. Slide the switch away from you to turn on the unit, and you should hear two quick, low beeps.

Top-left: Volume
Top-right: Skip
Bottom-left: Record
Bottom-middle: Play
Bottom-right: Delete
To record a message, just tap Record. You will hear one beep to indicate recording has started. You can press Record again to pause and resume the recording. When you're finished, press Play to stop and save your message. You will hear two quick beeps to indicate your message has been saved successfully.
To listen to a message, press Play. You can press Play to pause and resume playback.
To delete a message, press Play, then tap Delete twice quickly while it is playing. Take care not to record messages under three seconds in length, or they can be difficult to delete.
To adjust the volume, tap Volume. If a message is not playing, you'll hear one tone every time you tap Volume, to indicate what the volume has been changed to.
To hear the number of messages you have recorded, tap Skip.
To cycle through your messages, press and hold Skip. The recorder will start counting up from 1 (the first message). When you hear the message number you want to listen to, release Skip and it will be played.
