Record-a-PenTwo-in-One Gadget; The Coolest Pen You'll Ever Use Item Number: 2993
Larger Picture
We know just what you're thinking: what possible use would a blind person have for a pen? But hold on for a second; we haven't completely lost our minds! Visually impaired people do need to sign checks, charge receipts, and the like, and blind children still need to practice handwriting their names. Here, then, is a creative solution to make writing print a little more fun for those who can't see. On the surface, this looks like an ordinary ink-pen, except it's quite a bit thicker than usual, meaning it's easier to hold onto. But on the side is a little button, which you can press and hold down to record a ten-second memo. Then simply tap the large, round button on top to hear your recording back. A sturdy belt clip is found on the side of the pen, to prevent it from rolling away and to make bringing it with you convenient. But the most practical use we came up with for this little gismo is to keep it by the phone. The next time someone calls and you need to write down a message, you won't be stuck - whether you have sight or not. Kids will love playing with it ... Adults are bound to find it useful for taking note of quick items - so why not try one of our new, high-tech pens and see for yourself! (Uses three button-cell batteries, included in package.) (From the Electronics shelf.)
